Tatcha Tuesdays: The Friendship-Fueled Brand That Proves Small Rituals Can Spark Big Dreams

A coffee run between friends can sometimes lead to more than just caffeine—it can ignite a journey of creativity, collaboration, and unexpected opportunities. For Gemma Gadd, a BCom Fashion graduate from STADIO School of Fashion and a savvy Digital and Social Media Marketer, and her best friend Nicola Waite, a simple Tuesday tradition of sipping matcha turned into a passion project that would shape their future in ways they never anticipated.

What began as an opportunity to pause, connect, and unwind during their hectic university days has quickly grown into something much more powerful. Tatcha Tuesdays, originally just a fun excuse to meet and chat, is now a small but mighty brand that has garnered attention from major campaigns like Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte launch, the Wicked Movie Premiere, and even an invite to Mr. South Africa. Collaborations with local favorites like Green Dot Café and Baglios have further solidified the duo’s spot in the digital space.

While Tatcha Tuesdays may still be in its infancy, its reach and impact are anything but small. The pair’s success is a testament to the power of embracing the little things in life—whether it’s a coffee date or a shared laugh—and how these moments can evolve into something much larger. The project has taught them the value of slowing down, showing up for each other, and celebrating the beauty in life’s simple rituals. As Gemma explains, “Sometimes, the best thing you can do is meet your best friend on a Tuesday, grab a coffee or matcha, and just breathe.”

With a year of remarkable milestones already under their belts, Gemma and Nicola are eager to see where this journey will take them next. If you haven’t joined in on the Tatcha Tuesdays magic yet, now’s your chance to be a part of something truly special.

Here’s to many more Tuesdays filled with caffeine, creativity, and memories that last a lifetime.
