The Veuve Clicquot Bold Woman Awards South Africa returned for its fourth edition. The event honours female entrepreneurs who show vision, leadership, and impact. This year, respected conversation strategist @therealnozi, Nozipho Tshabalala attended the ceremony. Her presence added weight to a night focused on purpose-driven leadership.
Tshabalala is the CEO of The Conversation Strategists. She is known for hosting global forums and boardroom discussions with clarity and confidence. Her projects, including Mentorship Mondays, Conversation Academy, and her memoir After the Fires, reflect her commitment to building thoughtful dialogue in Africa and beyond.


Bold Woman Award: @setsong_tea co-founder Retang Phaahla. Her sustainable and heritage-based business model stood out. She said:
“We are reclaiming our heritage through tea and telling stories that honour the land and the people who care for it. This award shows that business can be both rooted and revolutionary.”
Bold Future Award: @hazile_group founder Dr. Phindile Cebekhulu-Msomi. She received recognition for her green innovation and impact in the business sector. Accepting her award, she said:
“This is not just for me, but for women who dream of changing the world through purpose-driven work. The future is green, inclusive, and powered by bold ideas.”
Savannah Cozzie, co-founder of the experiential marketing collective Socially Gathering, was also in attendance at the engagement. Known for curating immersive, design-forward experiences that amplify women-led brands and businesses, Cozzie’s presence aligned with the Bold Woman Award’s commitment to spotlighting entrepreneurial innovation and community-building. Her interactions with nominees and brand leaders signaled growing synergy between independent creatives and institutional recognition platforms ahead of the 2025 award cycle.
The Judging Panel
This year’s judges included past winners Amanda Dambuza and Morongwe Mokone. Business leaders Erik Kruger, Happy Ralinala, and Timothy Maurice Webster also served on the panel. They praised the winners for their bold ideas, strategic leadership, and proven impact.
